Mercedes-Benz S-Class and E-Class win the “Auto Trophy 2013”

01 Dec 2013
Muscat, Oman: A poll conducted by the German motoring magazine “Auto Zeitung” voted the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and E-Class as the best cars in the luxury and executive segments respectively. Over 100,000 readers participated in the annual poll which awarded the German automobile manufacturer the prestigious “Auto Trophy 2013” based on the results.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class and E-ClassCelebrating this remarkable win is Zawawi Trading Company (ZTC) – the exclusive distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Oman, which launched both the latest models of the S-Class and E-Class earlier this year.

“Winning the ‘Auto Trophy 2013’ is very significant because it is based on a readers’ poll, which includes actual Mercedes-Benz owners and other customers who are expressing their genuine opinion about cars. Above all the customers’ satisfaction with the product is what drives its success on all levels and once again Mercedes-Benz proved that it offers ‘the best or nothing’ in everything that bears its name,” said David Swain, General Manager – Sales, ZTC Automotive.

The S-Class is regarded as the ‘best car in the world’ because it sets technological and luxurious design standards for the rest of the Mercedes-Benz line-up as well as for the automobile industry. With every new model launched, the S-Class pushes the boundaries in the luxury saloon segment that consistently place it at the lead.

In the executive segment, the latest E-Class has been extensively revamped with more efficient engines, new assistance systems and a strikingly sporty design, while retaining its signature ‘four-eyed’ look. As a result, the E-Class is continuing to consolidate its leading position in the luxury class.

“Since launching the latest S-Class and E-Class models we have seen an increase in the number of clients interested in owning one of these outstanding cars, and I believe we are looking at another record year for sales at ZTCbolstered by the success of these two new models,” added Swain.
