The hefty proportions, the long bonnet and wheels of up to 23 inches in size communicate power and presence. Clear surfaces and minimalist lines lend everything a light and elegant air.

Nothing is more valuable than good style.

And there is hardly anything more challenging than creating such an elegant and succinct design for a large luxury SUV such as the new GLS.

A full-blown SUV down to the finest details.

Classic SUV design elements contrast interestingly with the fully digital Widescreen Display to highlight the off-road character of the new GLS. These include extensive open-pore wood trim, striking angular air vents and, most conspicuously, the grab handles on the centre console. The front seats feature structured upholstery in typical SUV style to further emphasize the vehicle's off-road credentials.

Electrically folding rear seats.

Your plans will never be too big for the new GLS: the backrests of the second and third seat rows can be folded down individually or together at the push of a button to produce a load compartment with a capacity of up to 2400 litres. The rear end can be lowered to facilitate loading, and the tailgate can be opened and closed by a mere movement of your foot.
