S-Class Cabriolet

An instinctive awareness of whatʼs right. No ifs, no buts. Just pure conviction. Thatʼs not only the feeling the S-Class Cabriolet evokes, but what its technology delivers too, with next-generation driving assistance systems that can analyse even more effectively and act even faster.

OLED tail lamps.

Innovative OLED tail lamps are a new feature of the S-Class Cabriolet. The total of 66 ultra-flat OLEDs act like floating elements inside the tail lamp; in addition, they emit a highly homogeneous light pattern in all directions and form a unique day and night design. Locking and unlocking the vehicle is additionally emphasised by an animated dynamic light sequence with subsequent dimming-up of the tail lights.

The sense of safety is the greatest comfort.

Semi-automated driving on motorways, rural roads and even in town, autonomous braking when needed in critical situations and active assistance during evasive manoeuvres – these are just some of the functions of the Driving Assistance Package, which sees Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive take the next step towards autonomous driving. Highlights of the latest-generation Driving Assistance Package include Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC with route-based speed adaptation, for example on bends, and extended automatic restart in stop-and-go traffic, Active Speed Limit Assist with anticipatory speed reduction to comply with detected road signs and Active Brake Assist with cross-traffic function and congestion emergency braking function. The driver is comprehensively supported in virtually every traffic situation, making for a significantly more relaxed drive.

Head-up display – keeping an eye on key information and the road ahead.

Key driver information at a glance, without the driver having to take their eyes off the road – this is a feature made possible by the head-up display. It projects a virtual image measuring approximately 21 x 7 cm into the driver's field of vision, which appears to float around 2 metres in front of him/her, above the engine bonnet. The information is displayed in high-resolution and in colour.
